AWS Lightsail pricing starts at $5 a month for a Linux/Unix bundle with 0.5 GB memory, 2 vCPUs, 20 GB SSD and 1 TB of transfer, and climbs to $1,764 a month for 256 GB, 64 vCPUs and 10 TB. Each bundle includes a fixed transfer allowance; outbound transfer past it is charged from $0.09 per GB in US regions. Block storage ($0.10 per GB per month), snapshots ($0.05 per GB per month), load balancers ($18 a month) and managed databases (from $15 a month) are separate. Virtual servers created on or before June 29, 2023 have 1 vCPU rather than the 2 vCPUs shown on the smaller bundles. AWS also lists an IPv6-only bundle at $3.50 a month with 512 MB memory, 2 vCPUs, 20 GB SSD and 1 TB transfer; it drops the public IPv4 address.
Data Transfer: Allowance and Overage
Both inbound and outbound data transfer count toward the allowance, but only outbound transfer past it is charged. The overage rate varies by AWS Region and starts at $0.09 per GB; AWS's own worked example prices 100 GB of overage at $9. At the US rate, 1,000 GB over the allowance costs $90 a month and 50 GB over costs $4.50. Plans in the Mumbai, Sydney, Jakarta, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Sao Paulo regions include half the allowances shown above.
Budget check: A bundle is a prepaid allowance. The $5 plan has 1 TB included whether you use it or not, and a traffic spike past it bills per GB. If you expect a spike, compare the next bundle up against the overage you would pay.

On the vendor pages read the same day, the entry plans are: DigitalOcean $4.00 a month (512 MiB, 1 vCPU, 500 GiB transfer), Vultr $2.50 a month (marked IPv6 only) and Akamai Cloud (Linode) $5 a month for Nanode 1GB.
